Bangkok Design Week 2026

To begin 2026 with a special milestone, MUNIE was selected to showcase its work at Bangkok Design Week 2026, one of Thailand’s most significant design festivals.

For this exhibition, MUNIE presented a collection of handwoven textiles made from water hyacinth fiber, transformed into home décor pieces, furniture, and handcrafted products created by skilled artisans from local communities.

The display reflects MUNIE’s ongoing commitment to the concept of Slow Design, emphasizing thoughtful craftsmanship, natural materials, and environmentally responsible production while celebrating the skills of community artisans.

A key highlight of the exhibition was the first public presentation of MUNIE’s Water Hyacinth Vegan Leather. This innovative material is currently under research and development, representing MUNIE’s exploration of sustainable alternative materials derived from water hyacinth.

Throughout the event, the exhibition attracted strong interest from visitors, including students, designers, and those passionate about sustainable design and materials.

MUNIE would like to sincerely thank the organizers of Bangkok Design Week 2026 for the opportunity to be part of this inspiring design festival and for providing a platform to share our vision of sustainable design with a wider audience.
